The Importance of Play-Based Learning
In pre-primary education, play is not just a break from learning - it is learning. Whether its building blocks, painting, or role-playing as doctors and shopkeepers, play helps children develop problem-solving skills, social interactions, and creativity.
One of my favourite activities is storytelling with puppets. It not only captures their attention but also improves their listening skills and vocabulary. When children act out stories, they develop confidence and communication skills in a way that formal lessons can’t always achieve.
